Batın Yazıcı Works is the independent practice of architect Batın Yazıcı, based in Istanbul, Türkiye and working across Türkiye and abroad. The studio is small on purpose.
The work is united less by a signature look than by a shared attitude — a stubborn belief that architecture earns its presence through proportion, material, and a careful (sometimes slightly obsessive) reading of the specific site and its people.

Three things we can't shut up about.
Landscape first
Buildings begin from the ground outward. Topography, planting and water are design tools, not context.
Proportion over gesture
Rooms, thresholds and apertures are tuned before volumes are dramatised. Restraint is a form of generosity.
Craft as continuity
Materials are chosen for how they age, not how they photograph. Details are resolved with the people who make them.
